“The last Adam” (1 Corinthians 15:45)

If, you’re saved, Jesus Christ represented you in life and death. This mystical union is what the apostles called being “IN Christ”. You couldn’t live a perfect life, so he lived a perfect life in your place. You couldn’t pay the price for your sins, so He died a perfect death in your place. If you’re saved, you died IN Christ, and now live IN Christ in His resurrection power. “In Adam all die, even so IN Christ all shall be made alive" (1 Corinthians 15:22).

Jesus Christ holds nothing back from His Church. The first Adam’s righteousness was ours as long as he maintained it, and his sin was ours the moment he committed it; and in the same manner, all that the Second Adam has is ours as well, seeing that He’s our representative. This is the foundation of the covenant of grace.

You have redemption IN Christ (Romans 3:24).

You’re a new creation IN Christ (Galatians 6:15).

You’re made free from the law of sin and death IN Christ (Romans 8:2).

You’re blessed with every spiritual blessing IN Christ (Ephesians 1:3).

Your eyes were opened IN Christ (2 Corinthians 3:14).

Your faith works through love IN Christ (Galatians 5:6).

You have liberty In Christ (Galatians 2:4).

You have eternal life IN Christ  (Romans 6:23).

And nothing can separate you from the love of God IN Christ (Romans 8:39).
